Abstract:
Disclosed is an anode for use in a lithium-ion secondary battery. Said anode inhibits separation and loss of an active material from a collector, thereby providing excellent cycle performance. Also provided is a method for manufacturing the provided anode. The anode comprises a collector (1) and an active material layer (6) affixed to the surface of the collector (1). The active material layer (6) contains an active material (2), a binder (5), a conductive material (4), and a shock-absorbing material (3). The active material (2) contains silicon and/or tin. The shock-absorbing material (3) comprises a composite silicon powder comprising spherical silicon rubber particles coated with a silicon resin.
