Abstract:
Provided is a tsunami-monitoring technology which senses anomalous tide level fluctuations, wherein the physical phenomenon of a tsunami shown in image information is statistically processed or tested and an estimated value of sea surface fluctuation is derived. An anomalous tide level fluctuation sensing device according to the present invention detects the location of either an object or a horizon which fluctuates in synchrony with a tide level, and detects that the fluctuation of the said location is fluctuating at a different time period from either tides or waves.
