Abstract:

There are included coil antennas (100A, 100B, 100C, 100D) each of which has a coil conductor having a shape in which the coil conductor has been wound about a winding axis; and a planar conductor (11) which has a surface along the winding axis of each coil conductor and the edges of which are adjacent to the coil opening of each coil conductor. The planar conductor acts as a booster antenna because a current flowing in each coil conductor induces a current in the planar conductor (11) and the induced current causes a magnetic flux to occur in the direction of the normal to the planar conductor (11). The antenna apparatus (201) orients in the direction of the normal to the planar conductor (11) because of a combination of the coil antennas (100A, 100B, 100C, 100D) with the magnetic flux generated by the planar conductor (11). In this way, an antenna apparatus that ensures a prescribed communication range and that has a smaller occupancy area can be configured.
