A decrease in antenna Q factor is alleviated. An antenna apparatus (1) built inside an electronic device (30) to perform communication with an external device (40) via an electromagnetic field signal is provided with: an antenna coil (12) comprising conductive wires (12a) that oppose each other in a width direction across an opening portion (12b) and that are wound in such a manner as to be proximate to each other, the antenna coil being inductively coupled with the external device; and a magnetic sheet (20) provided penetrating through the opening portion in such a way as to overlap at least a part of the antenna coil on the opposite side from an opposing surface of the antenna coil which opposes the external device. The antenna coil is divided into two portions across a center line longitudinally traversing the opening portion in a longitudinal direction of the antenna coil, namely a one-side portion (12a1) in which the conductive wires are run around in one direction and an other-side portion (12a2) in which the conductive wires are run around in the opposite direction. The one-side portion is overlapped by the magnetic sheet on the opposite side from the opposing surface while the other-side portion is overlapped by the magnetic sheet on the opposing surface, and the end of the magnetic sheet that overlaps the other-side portion is displaced further toward the opening portion side than is the end of the other-side portion of the antenna coil.
