Abstract:
An inexpensive antenna assembly having no mechanical working portion and capable
of forming a plurality of beam directions over a wide range. The antenna assembly
comprises a plurality of antenna elements (600, 610) each having a feeding portion
formed on a dielectric substrate (630), and a reflector (620) having a plurality
of reflecting portions opposing the antenna elements (600, 610), respectively.
Each of the reflecting portions is parallel with each of the opposing antenna
elements (600, 610) and beam direction of each of the antenna elements (600, 610)
is differentiated by differentiating the distance between each of the antenna
elements (600, 610) and the opposing reflecting portion for the angle of elevation
having as reference the plane of the dielectric substrate (630) on which each
antenna element (600, 610) is formed.Wide directivity is achieved by combining
the beam directions of different angle of elevation of each antenna element (600,
610).
