Abstract:
This antenna device is provided with the following: two conducting surfaces (11, 12) laid out so as to face each other with a space therebetween; a first connecting conductor (21) that connects said conducting surfaces (11, 12) to each other in a DC manner in one location; and an antenna coil (30) laid out so as to be adjacent to said first connecting conductor (21). The antenna coil (30) is positioned so as to electromagnetically induce an induced current to flow in the first connecting conductor (21). Current flows in opposite directions along the perimeters of the two conducting surfaces (11, 12), causing a magnetic field to radiate from the space between the conducting surfaces (11, 12). This makes it possible to use conducting surfaces such as metal plates as radiating elements without providing slits or openings therein, avoiding the problems of reduced mechanical strength, design constraints, and a reduced electric-field shielding effect.
