Abstract:
Included are: a planar conductor (10) in which a notch (13) penetrating in the thickness direction is formed from an edge of the planar conductor (10) toward the inside thereof; a coil antenna (20) that is magnetic-field-coupled to the planar conductor (10) by magnetic flux passing through the notch (13); and a fitting member (40) that is fitted into a portion of the notch (13) and that has a metal oxide film (41) formed along at least those side parts of the fitting member (40) which come into contact with the planar conductor (10). In this way, an antenna device that uses a metal casing to maintain the strength without degrading the beauty is provided, and a communication device having the antenna device is also provided.
