Abstract:
Disclosed is an antenna device that enables wireless communication without causing a null phenomenon, said wireless communication being with a plurality of types of corresponding devices having differing resonance frequencies. Further disclosed is a portable wireless apparatus provided with the antenna device. The antenna device performs wireless communication by means of inductive coupling, and is provided with a loop antenna; a communication circuit unit, which is connected to the aforementioned loop antenna, and which is for performing wireless communication by means of the aforementioned inductive coupling; a metal plate disposed in the shape of a loop on the outside or the inside of the aforementioned loop antenna, with a switch therebetween that can be opened and closed; and a wave detector, which detects the level of reception of the wireless signal received by the aforementioned loop antenna. The aforementioned communication circuit unit causes the state of the aforementioned metal plate to be a closed loop state or a non-closed non-loop state by controlling the opening/closing of the aforementioned switch in response to the level of reception of the aforementioned wireless signal as detected by the aforementioned wave detector.
