Abstract:
A radiation element (115) of an antenna device, which is comprised of continuous conductive paths, has first and second root sections (117, 118), and an intermediate section located in between the first and second root sections (117, 118). A feeding section (114) is formed on the first and second root sections (117, 118), and the first and second root sections (117, 118) are formed on a winding section (113) that is arranged so as to surround the feeding section (114), and which is a partial area of an area upon which the conductive paths are formed. Rear end straight-line sections, which are connected directly to the first and second root sections (117, 118) and the intermediate section of the winding section (113), extend in opposite directions from each other, and a broad-width section is formed on either the first root section (117) and/or second root section (118), such that the width at a position where a feeding line to be connected to the feeding section (114) is superposed is broader than at the other positions. Thus, radiation gain and VSWR characteristic pertaining to a radio wave can be improved irrespective of whether transmitting/receiving radio waves at the lower frequency band side or transmitting/receiving radio waves at the higher frequency band side.
