Abstract:
The present invention provides an antenna device that is capable of switching among four polarized waves consisting of two orthogonal linearly polarized waves, a dextrorotation circularly polarized wave and a levorotation circularly polarized wave. The antenna device is provided with the following: a plurality of antenna elements disposed on a substrate; a first transmission line that applies a high frequency signal to an antenna element from one direction; a second transmission line that applies a high frequency signal to an antenna element from another direction that is perpendicular to the one direction; a hybrid circuit that outputs a high frequency signal having a phase difference with respect to an input high frequency signal; a variable phase shifter that is connected to the hybrid circuit and changes the phase of an input high frequency signal to output the high frequency signal; and an input/output port that inputs and outputs high frequency signals. A series circuit comprising the hybrid circuit and the variable phase shifter is connected between the input/output port and the first transmission line and second transmission line.
