Abstract:
An antenna device 1 has a recess 3 formed on a portion of a vehicle or a building; an antenna element 4 arranged inside the recess 3; and a cover or insulating material for closing an opening part 3b of the recess 3. The recess 3 has a bottom part 3a, the opening part 3b, and a side wall part 3c for connecting the bottom part 3a and the opening part 3b. The recess 3 is shaped so as to expand from the bottom part 3a toward the opening part 3b, and the bottom part 3a and the side wall part 3c are conductors. An array antenna for detecting the arrival direction of electric waves is configured with a plurality of the antenna elements 4.
