Abstract:
Provided is an antenna element (101) having an element body formed by a laminate comprising a magnetic layer (11) having a first principal surface and a second principal surface, a first non-magnetic layer (21) provided on the first principal surface of the magnetic layer (11), and a second non-magnetic layer (22) provided on the second principal surface of the magnetic layer (11). The antenna element (101) also has an antenna coil (30) comprising a first coil pattern (31) provided in the first non-magnetic layer (21) and a second coil pattern (32) provided in the second non-magnetic layer (22), and a capacitor chip (41) connected to the antenna coil (30) and mounted on the second non-magnetic layer (22) side. Thereby, despite being small-sized, the antenna element (101) is capable of manifesting antenna characteristics that are stable and has a large longest distance at which communication is possible.
