Abstract:
Provided is an antenna having a reflector using a dielectric lens, wherein a dielectric lens which is transparent to electromagnetic waves, a reflecting body which is at the focal point distance of the dielectric lens and reflects electromagnetic waves, and a holding mechanism which positions and holds the reflecting body at the focal point distance of the dielectric lens are provided. One surface of a dielectric lens formed in a shape obtained by cutting a sphere with two flat surfaces or curved surfaces is permitted to be the upper surface section and the other surface as the lower surface section, the holding mechanism has a structure which covers the upper surface section and the lower surface section, and radiowave absorbing bodies are arranged between the upper surface section and the holding mechanism covering the upper surface section and between the lower surface section and the holding mechanism covering the lower surface section. A port, which has a structure that penetrates a reflector from the reflecting surface of the reflecting body to the outside of a reflector and is capable of having an electromagnetic wave transmitting/receiving device attached thereto, is provided on the outer side of the penetrated reflector, and the port is positioned such that the long side of the rectangular opening section tilts 45° with respect to the ground. In the case where the electromagnetic wave transmitting/receiving device is attached to the port, electromagnetic waves can be transmitted and received through the port and the dielectric lens.
