Title:
ANTENNA SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2000/045463
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A simple antenna construction in which a plurality of antennas do not disturb each other in simultaneous communication with moving objects such as two satellites, and a simple direction (azimuth, elevation angle) adjusting mechanism therefor. Two antennas each have a moving part (a mechanism for rotation with respect to the axis) while sharing a direction adjusting mechanism for the azimuth and the elevation angle. The rotation mechanisms of the antennas have rotation axes directed in the same direction in the same plane. Each of the rotation mechanisms is disposed separately in the region defined by the plane where the axis of its azimuth adjusting mechanism extends along the axis of the elevation angle adjusting mechanism. The azimuth and elevation angle of each antenna can be independently adjusted by an axially rotation mechanism, so that the antennas can be directed simultaneously from their receiving points to communication objects located in two different directions.
