Abstract:
Provided is a therapeutic drug for neuromyelitis optica. Specifically provided is an antibody or a functional fragment thereof that specifically binds to the extracellular domain of aquaporin-4, and includes: a heavy chain variable region comprising an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 3, or SEQ ID NO: 5; and a light chain variable region comprising an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 4, or SEQ ID NO: 6.
