Description:
AN ANTI-FACIAL WRINKLE PILLOW

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to a shape memory or elastic foam pillow that aims to reduce the contact pressure between the pillow and the cheek during side lying thanks to the cheek space on the pillow and thus prevent wrinkles that may occur in the cheek area and also allows for comfortable and healthy lying in accordance with human physiology.

BACKGROUND

A significant part of human life is spent in sleep. In a traditional pillow, the cheek area is under the pressure of the weight of our head when lying down. Under this pressure, the facial skin inevitably encounters pull, compression and stretching effects. Over time, the skin cells lose their elasticity and this pressure under their influence accelerates the formation of wrinkles. Today, there are pillow models developed to reduce cheek and pillow contact and therefore to prevent possible cheek wrinkles.

There are holes corresponding to the cheek area of the person in the pillow structures in the state of the art. These holes are developed to prevent wrinkles on the face of the user and are positioned below the face area in the case of side resting.

The art does not affect the formation of facial wrinkles since the cheek does not contact the pillow in the form of lying on the back.

Side lying is a form of lying that prepares the environment for the formation of facial wrinkles. The lateral lying state of human physiology is explained below and the pillow geometries in the known state of the art are examined in light of this information.

The collar bones (12), shown in Figure 6 and parallel to the ground in a standing posture, move on the side resting and change the position (Figure 7). When tilting the bed, the lower shoulder center (13) advances to the head by the value of the distance a (a) at the side view (Figure 7). This progression occurs as a result of the joint movement of the collar bone in the sternum connection due to body weight. In the top view of the same lateral resting state, the distance b (b) between the lower and upper shoulder centers occurs (Figure 8). Distance a (a) and distance b (b) values vary according to the physiological characteristics of the individuals and their preferred hospitalization status. In right-side tilting, the lower arm can be oriented between direction e (e) or direction f (f), depending on the preference of the person. The arm positioned in direction f (f) is shown in dashed lines in Figure 8. The fact that the pillow does not restrict the movement of the arm in or between direction e (e) or direction f (f) is an advantage for the comfort of the bed. Direction e (e) should be considered symmetrical with respect to the right lean or left lean directions.

Pillows designed in the known state of the art allow up to certain limits for the distance a (a) and distance b (b), which vary according to the physiological characteristics of the individuals and the preferred hospitalization status. If a pillow geometry does not allow the values of distance a (a) and distance b (b), which are formed according to the person and the preference of the person in the side tilt, these people lie in a position that they do not prefer and therefore they are uncomfortable. The same occurs when the pillow geometry prevents the person from directing their arm to the direction e (e).

In the literature, US8161588B1 mentions an anti-aging wrinkle pillow structure for facial wrinkles. The invention provides lying support under the neck when the person is lying on their back. However, when the user turns right or left, it is aimed to prevent wrinkles in the cheek area with the space that prevents contact between the cheek and the pillow. This pillow model also has a recess for the shoulder. This shoulder recess allows the distance a (a) to be at all possible values. However, it does not have a geometry that fully permits variations in the value of distance b (b). Distance b (b) forces the value to be small so that it can cause discomfort in the case of lateral resting, such as any force. It also has a geometry that prevents the arm from being directed to the direction e (e).

There is a shape memory pillow structure known in the literature with CN210158416U number. In the said application, when the person is lying on their back, when they turn right or left, their face coincides with the space on the edge of the pillow and the cheek area remains in the space. With this space, it is aimed not to wrinkle the facial area of the people. Although such pillow models are suitable for many values of the variable (b), they restrict the variability of the value (a). This restriction can lead to uncomfortable lying, or to the result that the cheek hole does not coincide with the cheek due to the shifting of the pillow. In order to eliminate the specified problems, there is a need to make an innovation that does not limit the values of distance a (a) and distance b (b), which vary from person to person and according to the preferred hospitalization status, but also allows the arm underneath to be easily directed to the direction e (e) and also allows the cheek to coincide with the cheek hole.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a shape memory or elastic foam pillow that allows the entire distance a (a) and distance b (b) to be oriented to the direction e (e) of the arm and, in the case of comfortable lateral resting, varies according to the physiological characteristics of the persons and the preferred position of inclination, while at the same time allowing the cheek hole to coincide with the cheek area, preventing the cheek area from being pressurized during sleep, thus preventing the formation of facial and under-eye wrinkles, or causing the reduction of existing wrinkles.

The object of the invention is to provide a pillow that prevents facial wrinkles caused by prolonged pressure during sleep by reducing cheek and pillow contact while providing comfortable lying down in the case of side lying.

Another object of the invention is to provide a pillow that wraps the head of the user and supports spinal health thanks to its physiological structure when the user puts their head on the pillow on their side or their back.

The present invention is a pillow comprising at least one neck support that wraps the neck hole when the person puts their head and takes its physiological shape, especially to realize all the objects that will emerge from the abovementioned and the following detailed description, and a cheek hole that allows the cheek region to remain in the hole in the side lying positions. Accordingly, its novelty is that it comprises at least one flap that is positioned on both sides of the neck support in the case of a side resting and that extends between the shoulder and the chin when the user leans on at least one forehead resting surface. Another novelty of the pillow of the invention is the recess under the flap. This recess provides the space required for the shoulder and arm to advance towards the head due to body weight in the case of lateral resting and thanks to the articulation of the collar bone through the sternum connection. The head is transported in a balanced and comfortable way by the flap positioned on the shoulder, forehead support and neck support, the cheek area remains in the cheek hole, wrinkles are prevented from occurring in the face area and sleep efficiency increases.

A possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that it comprises a head hole on the pillow in which the head is positioned when the user's neck and the neck support are in contact in the supine position. Thus, it is aimed to prevent pillow-related pain by providing an ergonomic structure.

A possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that it comprises back support positioned between the flap elements and located more inwardly than the flap elements. Thus, the user should ensure ergonomic use by filling the gap between the neck and the back in the case of a supine position.

A possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that it comprises the top elements located on both sides of the head hole. With the inclined structure of the ridge elements mentioned in the supine position, it is aimed to easily fit the user's head into the head hole and thus to ensure a comfortable sleep for the user.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The subject of the invention is explained with examples that do not have any limiting effect only for a better understanding of the subject in this detailed description.

The general structure of the pillow (11 ) of the invention is shown in Figure 1 . Accordingly, the pillow (11 ) generally includes neck support (2) that wraps the neck hole when the pillow is placed on the contact surface (5). The pillow (11 ) includes a cheek hole (3) between the flap (1) and forehead resting surface (4) elements, which allows the cheek area to remain in the space in the case of lateral resting. The said cheek hole (3) is located on both sides of the neck support (2) in accordance with the right and left hospitalization. Thus, if the user turns their head on both sides of the pillow (11), the same benefit is obtained. The aforementioned flap (1) is positioned on both sides of the neck support (2) and extends between the shoulder and the chin when the user rests their head on the forehead resting surface (4) on the side. In addition, the pillow (11) comprises a head hole (6) at the rear of the neck support (2) that the user places their head in the supine position. It contains a symmetrical recess (7) on the right and left of the back support (8), which creates the space required for the positioning of the shoulder and arm of the user during side resting.

The pillow (11 ) of the invention can be made of elastic foam materials such as viscoelastic polyurethane or latex with a shape memory that can be shaped in the mold. When the person puts their head on the pillow (11), it wraps around the head and neck region and takes shape according to the physical characteristics of the user.

A top view of the pillow (11 ) of the invention is given in Figure 4. In this view, it is assumed that the pillow (11) of the invention is located on a contact surface (5). When the user lies on their back, they place their neck on the neck support (2) and their head on the head hole (6). There are inclined ridge (9) elements on both sides of the head hole (6). With the sloping structure of the mentioned ridges (9), it is aimed that the head of the user easily fits into the head hole (6) and thus the user can have a comfortable sleep. There is neck support (2) between the flap (1) elements at both ends of the pillow (11 ) structure of the invention. When the pillow (11) of the invention is on the contact surface (5) at the supine position, the neck support (2) adapts to the neck form of the user when the person puts their head in the head hole (6). Meanwhile, neck support (2) supports the user under the neck. Thus, the spinal health of the people using the pillow (11) of the invention is supported, and it is also aimed to relieve body pain caused by the pillow (11 ).

In the mentioned pillow (11) structure, there is a forehead resting surface (4) where the people lean their foreheads in the side resting position for right and left resting. The forehead resting surface (4) supports the weight of the head in the side resting position. In particular, the lower shoulder center (13) approaches the head when tilting and distance a (a) is formed between the upper and lower shoulder centers (Figure 9). Therefore, the pillow (11) of the invention comprises a flap (1) member to support the head in the side resting position, on the shoulder and under the chin. The aforementioned flap (1) is located on both sides of the neck support (2). Thus, the head is balanced by the forehead resting surface (4), the flap (1) and the neck support (2).

As seen in Figure 3, the flap (1) is positioned to form a certain angle with the contact surface (5) while the pillow (11) of the invention is on the contact surface (5). In this way, when the shape is placed on the memory pillow (11) bed, seat, etc., a recess (7) is formed between the flap (1 ) and the said surfaces. A space is provided between the user's shoulder and chin, especially in the case of lateral resting. The flap (1) extends between the shoulder and the chin and fills the space between the person's shoulder and the chin when the person rests their head on the forehead resting surface (4) and places their shoulder in the said recess

(7). Thus, a portion of the weight of the head is transmitted from the under-chin region to the flap (1) and the shoulder below it, and the jaw region is supported (Figure 9). This recess (7) also allows the direction e (e) of the arm underneath the side resting to be directed and causes the arm and shoulder to be comfortably located in this recess (Figure 10).

There is an ergonomic back support (8) on the pillow (11 ) of the invention that covers the width between the two shoulders while the user is in the supine position. The back support

(8) is positioned between the flap (1) elements under the neck support (2). Thus, the invention is intended to wrap the shoulder, back and neck of the pillow (11). The hand and wrist can stand as shown in Figure 10 when the pillow (11 ) of the invention is extended on the side and in the direction e (e) of the arm. There is a hand and wrist space (10) in the pillow geometry to allow this situation. The pillow of the invention does not limit the distance a (a) and distance b (b) values, which vary according to the physiological characteristics of the individuals and the preferred hospitalization status due to its geometric properties defined in the lateral resting, allows the arm to be easily located in the direction e (e), and also allows the cheek region to be positioned in the cheek hole (3). The distance a (a) is the displacement distance of the lower shoulder center as seen in Figure 7 and the distance b (b) is the distance between the lower and upper shoulder centers as seen in Figure 8 at the top view of the side tilt.

The pillow (11 ) of the invention provides comfort in side lying, easy breathing, and positive benefit for snoring. It has a positive effect on preventing the formation of cheek wrinkles or reducing existing wrinkles since it prevents the contact of the cheek area with the pillow and the skin in the cheek area under pressure during sleep under the weight of the head. It is beneficial in body pain due to the pillow (11 ) with the comfort of lying on the back and side. It reduces the need for wrinkle-reducing surgical procedures or cosmetic products that are effective in preventing wrinkles, as it reduces the wrinkle effect caused by the pressure on the cheek area due to ageing effects and the use of classical pillows, thus providing an economic contribution.

The scope of protection of the invention is specified in the attached claims and cannot be limited to those explained for sampling purposes in this detailed description. It is evident that a person skilled in the art may exhibit similar embodiments in light of the above-mentioned facts without drifting apart from the main theme of the invention.
