Abstract:

Provided is an anti-fog coated article that is provided with an anti-fog coating film, which can be used in applications such as anti-fog mirrors, windowpanes for vehicles and windowpanes for buildings, and which has high film hardness, while maintaining sufficient anti-fogging performance. The present invention specifically provides an anti-fog coated article which comprises a hard substrate and a water absorbent composite film that is formed on the hard substrate. The water absorbent composite film contains a polyvinyl acetal resin and 30-80 parts by mass of a colloidal silica and 5-55 parts by mass of silica-equivalent particles, which are derived from a hydrolysis product or partial hydrolysis product of a silicon alkoxide compound, per 100 parts by mass of the polyvinyl acetal resin.
