Abstract:
An anti-friction device with an adjustable curvature, that may be inserted between the cloth rings of the curtains and the curtain-rods, comprising a structure (1) in soft material, like teflon or other plastic material, that follows and gives in to the different curvature radius' of the different curtain-rods, while some transversal elements (2, 3 and 4) represent the central and end locations thereof for the connection, by means of velcro or similar, with the internal surface of the curtains' cloth rings (A), reducing the friction during movement of the curtain.

AN ANTI-FRICTION DEVICE WITH AN ADJUSTABLE CURVATURE, THAT MAY BE INSERTED BETWEEN THE CLOTH RINGS OF THE CURTAINS AND THE CURTAIN-RODS The present invention concerns an original anti-friction device with adjustable curvature, that may be inserted between the cloth rings of the curtains and the curtain-rods.

At present, means are known-which are the object of a plurality of International pending patents-out of stiff plastic material having a portion of the application rod curvature, so as to eliminate the friction between the cloth rings of the curtain and the supporting rod during the sliding thereof, with the possible variant that provides also special means for the application with bows.

All existing solutions of course require a high number of patterns of shaping means, according to the many kinds of curtain-rods with variable radius that may be used in upholstering.

It is the aim of the present invention to allow to one single anti-friction device with adjustable curvature to be applied to curtain-rods of any radius, so as to make the diffusion thereof as wide and general as possible.

The aim set forth is reached by means of the anti-friction device with adjustable curvature, that may be inserted between the cloth rings and the curtain-rods, according to the present invention and comprising a structure in soft material, like teflon or other plastic material, that follows and gives in to

the different curvature radius'of the different curtain-rods, while some transversal elements represent the central and end locations thereof for the connection, by means of velcro or similar, with the internal surface of the curtains'cloth rings, reducing the friction during movement of the curtain.

Said transversal elements, that get inserted by means of convenient eyelets onto said soft structure, according to the reciprocal distance, allow different curvatures corresponding to curtain-rods with different radius', so that producing one single structure and one single series of transversal elements, all possible curtains existing on the market. Furthermore, in a variant, said transversal elements may also have passing-through eyelets for determining the application with a bow of the cloth rings to the curtains.

The present invention will be explained more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings in which two embodiments are shown.

Figure 1 shows an axonometric view of an anti-friction device according to the present invention, with adjustable curvature, that may be inserted between the cloth rings of the curtains and the curtain-rods, in a spread position before the installation under a curtain ring, shown in figure 2.

Figure 3 shows the spread position of a variant of the device according to the present invention, comprising also means for the bow installation of the curtain.

Figures 4 and 5 show how, with the same device comprising the same elements, anti-friction means may be realized for different curtain-rods.

Figure 6 shows a device according to the present invention installed with a bow connection.

The enclosed figures show an anti-friction device with an adjustable curvature, that may be inserted between the cloth rings of the curtains and the curtain-rods, mainly consisting of: -a linear structure 1 out of soft anti-friction material like teflon or other plastic material ; -three transversal elements 2,3 and 4 provided with corresponding passing-through eyelets 2', 3'and 4'for the insertion into said linear structure 1, so that when the reciprocal distance increases, the anti-friction device gets shaped onto supporting curtain-rods larger and larger ; -a connection means 5, like velcro, between the transversal elements 2,3 and 4 and the cloth ring A of the curtain.

In the variant of the device according to the present invention and shown in figures 3,4,5 and 6, said transversal elements 2,3 and 4 comprise the presence, between end elements 2 and 4, of a passage shape 2"and 4", and the central element 3 has a passing-through eyelet 3"around which the cloth ring N is knotted.
