Title:
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY COMPOSITION CONTAINING CLAVASPIRIN PEPTIDE ANALOG AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/048029
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an anti-inflammatory composition containing a clavaspirin peptide analog as an active ingredient. CSP-4 peptide, in the present invention, which is a synthetic peptide prepared by substituting the 9 and 12 positions of Styela clava-derived clavaspirin peptide with positively charged lysine (K) amino acid, has an excellent antimicrobial effect on an animal model exhibiting an inflammatory response caused by antibiotic resistant bacteria and shows little cytotoxicity, and thus CSP-4, of the present invention, which is a clavaspirin peptide analog, can be useful as an active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of inflammatory diseases, a cosmetic composition, a food additive and the like.
