Abstract:
To improve wear resistance of shoulder portions of a radial-ply tire, the tire comprises a tread portion (5) provided with central areas (7) (7) which each have circumferentially - extended, continuous grooves (9). The central areas each have a width (W) which is extended from tire center line (l) across a distance w defined by the following formula: w = W/2 - O.365H (where W and H are width and height, respectively, of the tire under its nominal inflation pressure.
