Abstract:

The present invention provides a vaccine formulation comprising a carrier protein and a fusion protein where a full length of one or more ghrelin polypeptides are fused, wherein the vaccine formulation induces general immunity and mucosal immunity. The ghrelin polypeptide may be, for example, a polypeptide comprising an amino-acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 2, or SEQ ID NO: 3, or a polypeptide that is substantially the same as those polypeptides.
