Abstract:
Disclosed is an anti-slipping agent in which flat-crushed pieces are made less movable on a road surface covered with pressed snow or an icy road surface and thus well retained to achieve an improved anti-slipping effect.
Specifically disclosed is an anti-slipping agent comprising flat-crushed pieces formed by crushing a flat-crushable stone, wherein exfoliatable natural black slate that can be crushed into pieces having a thickness of 1.5 mm or less is used as the stone. The black slate contains 54-64 wt% of silicic acid, 17-25 wt% of aluminum oxide, 6-7 wt% of ferric oxide, 1.9-4 wt% of calcium oxide and 1.5-3.9 wt% of magnesium oxide. The crushed pieces are impregnated or coated with a freezing point-lowering agent.
