Abstract:
Provided is an anti tip-over device adapted for simple handling such as carrying.
An anti tip-over device (10) is provided with a damper (20), a first base section (30), a second base section (40), and a connector (70). The anti tip-over device (10) is mounted between the upper surface of a piece of furniture (1) installed on a floor and a ceiling (C), and the expansion force of compressed gas enclosed in a cylinder (21) is applied to the anti tip-over device (10) in the direction in which the length increases. The first base section (30) is connected to one end of the damper (20) in a pivotable manner and has a first contact surface (31A) coming into contact with the upper surface of the piece of furniture (1). The second base section (40) is connected to the other end of the damper (20) in a pivotable manner and has a second contact surface (41A) coming into contact with the ceiling (C). The connector (70) contracts the damper (20) and maintains the anti tip-over device in a folded state in which the first base section (30) and the second base section (40) are located close to each other.
