Abstract:
Provided is an anti-vibration device with a novel structure which makes it possible to more effectively position a first attachment member and a bracket member while effectively obtaining positioning action by the fitting of the first attachment member and the bracket member. A positioning means is configured in which a projection (28) projecting towards the outer periphery is provided on part of the circumference of the first attachment member (18), and an engaging groove (30) opening to the inner peripheral surface of the first attachment member (18) is formed in the projection (28). A portion (33) of a rubber covering layer (32) covering the groove inner surface of the engaging groove (30) configures the inner surface of the side wall of the engaging groove (30), and an engaging part (58) is provided on this portion (33). By fitting a bracket member (14) into the first attachment member (18), an engaging projection (50) projecting from the bracket member (14) is fitted into the engaging groove (30). The projecting apical surface of the engagement projection (50) contacts the inner surface of the bottom wall of the engaging groove (30), and by engaging the lateral surface of the engagement projection (50) in the engaging part (58), the first attachment member (18) and the bracket member (14) are positioned relative to one another.
