Abstract:
An antibacterial device having high antibacterial effect and food-preserving performance in practical use, and a refrigerator provided with this device. The antibacterial device comprises an antibacterial agent unit having its base material contain a volatile antibacterial component, a breathable dose pack unit wrapping it, and an impermeable packing container partly provided with vent holes and wrapping the two units. The device further comprises a peelable, impermeable film layer provided on the outer surface of the vent-holed packing container. When this film layer is peeled off, vapor in the antibacterial component passes through the vent holes and flows out to the external atmosphere to provide a high, practical antibacterial effect to air and food surfaces, and a food- and its nutrition-preserving performance.
