Abstract:
The present invention relates to antibacterial peptide H103B having antibacterial activity against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and uses thereof. The antibacterial peptide H103B of the present invention, consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 4, exhibits excellent antibacterial activity against Acinetobacter baumannii, Enterococcus faecium, and antibiotic-resistant bacteria (vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium or carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii), and has low toxicity to human-derived cells. Therefore, the present invention can be effectively used in various fields such as antibacterial compositions, compositions for prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, cosmetic compositions, preservative compositions, and the like.
