Abstract:
The present invention relates to an antibacterial peptide targeting a Mycobacterium tuberculosis toxin-antitoxin system, and a use thereof. Specifically, a peptide having the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NOs: 4-6, inhibiting Mycobacterium tuberculosis toxin-antitoxin binding, inhibits the binding of a Mycobacterium tuberculosis toxin-antitoxin complex while not affecting the active site of toxins, thereby decomposing initiation tRNA by isolated toxins so as to induce the death of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and thus the peptide inhibiting Mycobacterium tuberculosis toxin-antitoxin binding can be useful as an antibacterial composition.
