Abstract:
The present invention relates to a polymer film for preventing bacterial infection and to a use thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to an antibacterial polymer film comprising quaternary ammonium and a manufacturing method therefor. According to the present invention, the polymer film containing quaternary ammonium is biocompatible and has a strong antibacterial activity. In addition, the polymer film can be coated regardless of a surface material, and thus can be applied to various kinds of medical devices and medical polymer supports, thereby effectively controlling bacterial death and proliferation, and therefore the polymer film can be effectively utilized to dramatically reduce the infection from medical devices, which frequently occurs around the world.
