Abstract:
An antifouling coating film formed on a surface of an object to be coated, the antifouling coating film being configured of at least nanoparticles and having recesses and protrusions, the protrusions having a radius of curvature of 100 nm or less. A simulated dust mixture of organic simulated dust and inorganic simulated dust is deposited on the antifouling coating film, dust is shaken off, and thereafter an image of the antifouling coating film taken with an optical microscope is subjected to binarization to thereby calculate the areal proportion of the simulated dust mixture remaining thereon. This areal proportion is taken as the area of dust adhesion. When the proportion of the area of dust adhesion on the antifouling coating film to the area of dust adhesion on the surface not coated with the antifouling coating film is taken as the degree of dust adhesion, then the antifouling coating film has a degree of dust adhesion of 15% or less.
