Abstract:
The present invention provides an antifouling film exhibiting excellent antifouling properties. This antifouling film is provided with a polymer layer having, provided to the surface, a relief structure in which a plurality of protrusions are provided at a pitch equal to or smaller than the wavelengths of visible light. The polymer layer includes, as constituent atoms, carbon atoms, nitrogen atoms, oxygen atoms, and fluorine atoms. The ratio of the number of fluorine atoms to the total number of carbon atoms, nitrogen atoms, oxygen atoms, and fluorine atoms, as measured using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, is at least 33 atom% in the surface of the relief structure. The ratio of the number of nitrogen atoms to the total number of carbon atoms, nitrogen atoms, oxygen atoms, and fluorine atoms, as measured using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, in an area 5-90 nm away from the surface of the relief structure in the depth direction, has at least one maximum value which is at least 0.3 atom% higher than the average value in an area 90-120 nm away from the surface of the relief structure in the depth direction.
