Abstract:
Provided is an antifouling paint composition that maintains a stable coating dissolution rate over a long period of time in seawater and that makes it possible to maintain stable antifouling performance without the occurrence of coating abnormalities such as cracks. The present invention provides an antifouling paint composition that contains a copolymer (A), an ester compound (B), and a copper oxide (C). The copolymer (A) is a triorganosilyl ester-containing copolymer obtained from a mixture of a triorganosilyl group-containing monomer (a), an oxygen atom-containing monomer (b), and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (c). The monomer (a) is represented by chemical formula (1). The monomer (b) is represented by chemical formula (2). The monomer (c) is a monomer other than the monomer (a) and the monomer (b) and is copolymerizable with the monomer (a) and the monomer (b). The ester compound (B) contains at least one of the ester compounds represented by chemical formulas (3)-(9).
