Abstract:
An antifouling paint for preventing the deposition of marine organisms on the things where sea water is utilized, such as ships, marine structures, sea water cooler and sea water duct, without using any compound containing heavy metals causative of marine pollution, such as organotin compounds and copper oxides. The paint contains an organic compound having an electron-withdrawing group such as a thiocyano or isothiocyano group as the active ingredient.
