Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a composition containing, as an active ingredient, a cyclic dipeptide compound, which is isolated from a fermented liquid of a Lactobacillus paraplantarum KNUC25 strain, and having antimicrobial activity; a preparation method for the compound; and a use thereof. The cyclic dipeptide compound according to the present invention is isolated from a fermented liquid of a Lactobacillus paraplantarum strain and exhibits excellent antimicrobial activity on pathogenic bacteria, including gram-negative bacteria and gram-positive bacteria, and on pathogenic fungi, thereby being usable as an antimicrobial additive composition during the preparation of foods, drugs, cosmetic products, and the like. In addition, according to the preparation method of the present invention, the cyclic dipeptide is stably isolated from the strain and purified, and thus is expected to be more stable and have higher industrial utilization value than compounds present in microorganisms themselves.
