Description:
DESCRIPTION

ANTIMICROBIAL SCENT APPARATUS ATTACHED TO AIR CONDITIONERS Subject of the Invention

The invention relates to an air conditioner apparatus which may be readily attached to any model of split type air conditioners; which cleans the air with the antimicrobial property thereof; and which emits a pleasant smell to the environment thanks to the odorizing agent within its configuration .

State of the Art

The use of air conditioners with the aim of stabilizing air temperature in indoor environments and dehumidifying the environment has become widespread. The filter systems of the air conditioners, which operate virtually every day, are contaminated, and so the polluted air spreads to the environment. Therefore, they give off contaminated and malodorous air.

Due to the working principle of the air conditioners, the air within the environment circulates. Hence, the unpleasant smell present in the environment cannot be eliminated, thereby creating an environment suitable for microbial growth. In order to overcome these drawbacks, the scent apparatuses to be attached on the air conditioners have been developed. These scent apparatuses are mounted on the exterior of the air conditioners, and thus causing an unaesthetic appearance. Further, these apparatuses are solely provided with an odorizing property and they lack any function for cleaning the air. The Patent Application No. 2007/08757 is an exemplary document in the state of the art. In this invention, a scent apparatus comprising an odorizing tablet is disclosed, wherein said apparatus can be mounted in/dismounted from the interior of the air conditioner by technicians. During the operation of the interior unit of the air conditioner, the air is taken in through the gaps on the air intake grille with the suction of air conditioner fan and passed through the filter behind the grille. The scent apparatus mounted under the upper cover of the air conditioner is combined with the air coming from the filter, and thus emitting a pleasant smell to the environment. In this system, the apparatus comprising an odorizing tablet needs to the mounted and replaced when the scent effect is finished by a technician. Thus, this system, which is not practical, causes additional labor costs. Moreover, said apparatus is only provided with an odorizing property and it does not serve for cleaning the air.

In order to overcome the aforementioned disadvantages, there exists a need for a scent apparatus which can be mounted/dismounted without requiring a technician, emits a pleasant smell to the environment while the air conditioner is operating, is not visible when the air conditioner is off, and at the same time clears the air discharged by air conditioner .

Detailed Description of the Invention

The present invention discloses an air conditioner apparatus (1) which may be readily attached to the interior of the air conditioner and which serves for cleaning the air and making it smell nice thanks to the essential antimicrobial material comprised therein. The air conditioner apparatus (1) according to the invention comprises clips (2), rear air ducts (3), and front air ducts (4) . It is attached to the air vents allowing the outlet of the air in split air conditioners by means of a fitting. Clips

(2) may be used as fitting. The air conditioner apparatus (1) can be mounted/dismounted whenever desired and it does not require a technician for said mounting/dismounting operations; in addition, it does not create visual pollution since it is not visible when the air conditioner is off.

The air filtered in the air conditioner unit is directed to the air vents. It enters through the rear air ducts (3) of the air conditioner apparatus (1) mounted in the air vents and exits through the front air ducts (4) after contacting with the essential antimicrobial material present therein. Thus, the air passing through the air conditioner apparatus (1) not only smells nice but also is devoid of microbes.

The air which comes from the air conditioner and enters the air conditioner apparatus (1) through the rear air ducts (3) contacts with essence materials including the gel, granule, odorized impregnated board, etc. present in the apparatus. The air is thus freed of microbes and odorized. Such purified and odorized air is emitted through the front air ducts (4) .

Any kind of emblems, trademarks and/or logos may be printed on the air conditioner apparatus (1) according to the invention if desired.

In summary, the present invention is an air conditioner apparatus (1), characterized in comprising the rear air ducts

(3) through which the air purified in the air conditioner enters the apparatus, the antimicrobial essence material present in the inner portion through which the air passes, the front air ducts (4) through which the air which is freed of microbes and provided with a pleasant smell by contacting with the antimicrobial essence material exits, and the clips (2) for attaching the apparatus into the air conditioner.

The principles and the preferred embodiment of the present invention are described by way of the descriptions above and the drawings below. However, the present invention, which is entitled "Antimicrobial scent apparatus attached to air conditioners", intended to be protected herein should not be interpreted as being limited to a certain embodiment disclosed above. The variations, modifications and equivalents of the invention are also intended to be protected without departing from the scope of the invention.
