Abstract:
Provided is an antivibration device having a novel structure, wherein the spring constant can be sufficiently ensured to a great extent in the axial direction and the direction perpendicular to the axial direction, and a large degree of freedom to select the formation material of an elastic rubber main body can be ensured. A first attaching member (12), a second attaching member (14), and an elastic rubber main body (16) are assembled in a non-adhesion manner. A central protrusion (26) of the first attaching member (12) is inserted in one end portion of the elastic rubber main body (16), and the other end portion of the elastic rubber main body (16) is fitted in a recessed portion (42) provided in the second attaching member (14), whereas a central recess (56) which is open toward the recessed portion (42) is formed in the elastic rubber main body (16). Due to a static load applied when the antivibration device is attached to members (18, 20) to be coupled to the antivibration device, the first attaching member (12) and the second attaching member (14) are overlapped so as to sandwich the elastic rubber main body (16) therebetween, in the projection in the direction perpendicular to the direction that both attaching members are opposed.
