Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a very safe antiviral agent that exhibits an inactivating effect on non-enveloped viruses and that can be applied to hands and can also be taken orally. As active ingredients of the antiviral agent, a peptide extracted from a Bacillus subtilis fermentation product and another cationic polymer are combined. The peptide extracted from a Bacillus subtilis fermentation product is preferably a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 or a derivative thereof. The other cationic polymer is preferably polylysine, protamine, chitosan, and so forth.
