Abstract:
Antrodia camphoratacyclohexenone compounds which is effective in inhibiting hepatitis B virus, in particular 4-hydroxy-2,3-dimethoxy-6-methy-5 [3,7,11-trimethy-dodeca-2,6,10-trienyl]-cyclohex-2-enone isolated from an extract of Antrodia camphorata. Said Antrodia camphorata cyclohexenone compounds of the present invention are cytotoxic to human liver cancer cell strain HepG22.2.15 which are capable of excreting hepatitis B virus, decreasing the production of hepatitis B virus granules, and inhibiting hepatitis B surface antigen (HbsAg) and hepatitis B e antigen (HbeAg), thus to achieve the aim of inhibiting hepatitis B virus.
