[Problem] To provide an aperture device where an opening close to circular can be obtained without the need to make the device large. [Solution] The aperture device (1) of the present invention comprises a first aperture blade (2) and a second aperture blade (3) that, on a surface that the luminous flux passes through, move in a sliding direction on the same straight line to draw closer to or move farther away from each other thus realizing the closing operation. The first aperture blade (2) has a first inner wall (23d) that regulates from the first aperture blade (1) side the opening (aperture) through which the luminous flux passes. The second aperture blade (3) has a second inner wall (33d) that regulates from the second aperture (2) side the aperture through which the luminous flux passes. The aperture device (1) is further provided with a third aperture blade (4) that covers the vicinity of at least one of the intersection points where the first inner wall (23d) and the second inner wall (33d) cross, thereby restricting the aperture through which the luminous flux passes (fig. 1).
