Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of communication technology, and in particular, to an apparatus configuration method and device. The method is applicable to a management apparatus managing n transmission apparatuses, wherein n ≥ 2. The method comprises: determining a transmission apparatus accessed by user equipment (UE); configuring m transmission apparatuses including the transmission apparatus accessed by the UE to be a tracking set, wherein 1 ≤ m < n; transmitting, to all the transmission apparatuses in the tracking set, tracking configuration information, so as to instruct the UE to transmit a tracking signal, the tracking configuration information being transmitted to the UE by the transmission apparatus in the tracking set and accessed by the UE, and the tracking signal being used to determine a location of the UE. Therefore, the management apparatus is not required to transmit, to all transmission apparatuses under the management, the tracing configuration information. The embodiment resolves a problem of increased channel resources taken up for transmitting tracking configuration information to all transmission apparatuses under the management, achieving the effect of saving channel resources.
