Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for confirming the installation date and serial number for a digital door lock, a microprocessor storing in memory the date on which a battery was initially installed in a digital door lock or the date on which a secret number was configured for the first time since the digital door lock installation as the digital door lock installation date, wherein the serial number of the corresponding digital door lock is stored in memory, and when a key string command for confirming the starting date of a free after-service period of the digital door lock is entered by means of a keypad, then the digital door lock installation date stored in memory is displayed to allow a user to confirm same, and when a key string command for confirming the serial number of the digital door lock is entered by means of the keypad, then the serial number of the digital door lock stored in memory is displayed to allow a user to confirm same. According to the present invention, by allowing the digital door lock installation date stored in memory to be clearly confirmed as the starting date of the free after-service period, whether the service of an after-service company is free or not can be objectively and conveniently checked, and by electronically storing and keeping the serial number of the digital door lock in memory instead of checking by means of a product receipt or a product verification sticker attached to the digital door lock, the manufacturer can be clearly and conveniently confirmed, improper competition between competitors giving rise to product verification sticker damage can be prevented, and proper business practices associated with product sale, management and distribution can be soundly protected and maintained.
