Title:
APPARATUS FOR CONTACTLESSLY MEASURING CHANGES IN CONDUCTIVITY AND NON-CONDUCTOR DIELECTRIC CONSTANT CHARACTERISTIC BY USING RF SIGNAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/043947
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention can detect changes in conductivity and non-conductor characteristics by: outputting an RF signal having a predetermined frequency through one coil antenna and receiving, by the other coil antenna, a frequency (RF)-induced current signal transmitted through a medium, so as to detect the signal strength difference between the signals; and comparing the corresponding frequency signal strength with signal strengths according to frequencies through a frequency-specific signal strength comparison table which is stored in a controller and contains signal strengths previously measured according to medium states on a frequency-by-frequency basis. Accordingly, the present invention can accurately measure various elements by using a conductor medium characteristic in which the conductivity of a conductor medium varies according to the total dissolved solids (TDS), temperature, and quantity thereof and a non-conductor dielectric constant variation characteristic, has a simple structure that is easy and economical to manufacture and install, and can safely and conveniently measure changes in conductivity and non-conductor characteristics in a contactless manner.
