Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus for the continuous casting of a thin sheet, the apparatus comprising: opening portions (23a, 24a) arranged on side wall portions (23, 24) of side faces of a casting chamber, and having shaft portions (35aa, 35ab) of a first sheet-guiding roller (35a), on the most upstream side in a strip-passing direction of a thin sheet (2), of a sheet-guiding roller set (35) penetrating therethrough; bearing portions (42, 43) for bearing the shaft portions (35aa, 35ab) in a rotatable manner; and an apparatus (60) for lifting and lowering a sheet-guiding roller, the apparatus being arranged on the outer side of a casting chamber (20) and lifting or lowering the bearing portions (42, 43). The apparatus for the continuous casting of a thin sheet enables a formed thin sheet not to be prone to strip breakage, and makes same highly reliable.
