Abstract:
A voltage optimisation apparatus (10) for controlling output voltage (38) of an alternating current electricity supply (36) is disclosed. The apparatus includes input (12,14) and output terminals (16,18) and a transformer (24) reducing or increasing the voltage to an optimum voltage. A processor (40) controls switches (32,34) that turn the transformer on and off when the wave form of the voltage is within a predetermined range relative to zero.
