Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for correcting an azimuth of a three-axis MEMS geomagnetic sensor, and a method for correction, the apparatus according to the present invention comprising: a planar magnetic vector calculation unit (100) for acquiring a planar magnetic vector, from the terrestrial magnetic field, measured by the three-axis MEMS geomagnetic sensor; a geomagnetic distortion identification unit (200) for deriving a magnetic vector relationship, expressed as an equation of an ellipse, and extracting a magnetic vector correction coefficient from a set of planar magnetic vectors collected by the planar magnetic vector calculation unit (100); and an azimuth calculation unit (300) for correcting a magnetic distortion by means of the correction coefficient extracted from the geomagnetic distortion identification unit (200) and calculating the azimuth.
