Abstract:
An apparatus for counter-current exchange comprises a container (10), in which at least one corrugated layer (20) for gas exchange is arranged with each corrugated layer (20) having at least one oxygen storage/exchange channel (E, F, G, I, J, K, L). In the upper part of the container (10), a water inlet (A) for injecting water into the container (10) and a gas outlet (D) for discharging gas having lower concentration of oxygen out of the container (10) are arranged. In the lower part of the container (10), a water outlet (B) for discharging water out of the container (10) and a gas inlet (C) for injecting pure oxygen into the container (10) are arranged. Thus, the water flows into the container (10) from the water inlet (A) and goes from the top down, whereas the oxygen flows into the container (10) from the gas inlet (C) and goes from the bottom up. The oxygen flows through each corrugated layer (20) and oxygen storage/exchange channels (E, F, G, I, J, K, L). By taking advantage of the water flow disturbance created by each corrugated layer (20), the oxygen is dissolved in the water naturally in the process of the water flowing from the top down, which at last flows out from the water outlet (B), and accordingly oxygen (O2)-enriched water is obtained.
