Abstract:
This invention relates to an apparatus for curing the lumbago which corrects the pelvis distorted and curved relative to the spine and performs orthopedic treatment and the remedy of the waist pain to eliminate the pain of the waist. The apparatus consists of a chair-like assembly including a back rest for allowing a patient to lie on his side while his body is bent forward, a seat, leg supports, etc., and mounted to the inside of a rotary portion capable of rocking. An air bag which inflates in a direction of the line extending along the axis of rotation is disposed at a position corresponding to the armrest of the chair-like assembly in the rotary portion so that the body weight acting concentratedly on the ilium can be dispersed as forces pushing the whole transverse portions of the waist from the obliquely front abdomen by the aid of the swivelling of the chair-like assembly and the repulsive force of the air bag pushes continuously the portion near the protruding portions of an intervertebral disk.
