APPARATUS FOR DETECTING BREAKAGE OF OPENABLE WINDOW GLASS

Provided is an apparatus for detecting breakage of a window glass, wherein breakage of a window glass can be detected even when the window glass is not at the fully closed position.  A window glass which can open/close an opening section of a vehicle is provided with a magnet.  A magnetic field generated by the magnet is detected by the magnetic sensor.  Drop of the magnet due to breakage of the window glass is detected based on the detected magnetic field.  A core material composed of a magnetic material is magnetically coupled with the magnetic sensor, and has an upright section extending in the vertical direction.
