Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus for developing a lithographic printing original plate and a method for developing a lithographic printing original plate, which are capable of stably producing a high-quality lithographic printing plate.
An apparatus for developing a lithographic printing original plate, wherein a lithographic printing original plate, which has a supporting body and an exposed image recording layer that is supported by the supporting body, is conveyed and developed. The apparatus for developing a lithographic printing original plate is provided with: a first developing unit which comprises a first vessel and develops the image recording layer by immersing the lithographic printing original plate being conveyed into a developer liquid that is held in the first vessel; a second developing unit which is arranged in the downstream of the first developing unit in the conveyance direction of the lithographic printing original plate and comprises a second vessel that holds a developer liquid; a supplement unit for supplementing a fresh developer liquid to the second vessel; and a liquid-sending device for sending the developer liquid held in the second vessel to the first vessel from the second vessel, said liquid-sending device sending the developer liquid held in the second vessel to the first vessel.
