Abstract:
Provided is a drive apparatus for an image-display medium provided with: a voltage-application unit inserted between a pair of substrates at least one of which is translucent, the voltage-application unit applying voltage between the pair of substrates of the image-display medium having a plurality of types of particles, each type of particle starting to separate at a different time from a state of adhesion to a substrate when a predetermined voltage is applied; and a controller for controlling the voltage-application unit such that the time the voltage is applied between the pair of substrates varies according to image information.
