Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for growing a sapphire monocrystal, comprising: a chamber; a refractory embedded in the chamber; a crucible, installed inside the chamber, in which a seed, on which the sapphire monocrystal is grown, and a raw material are charged; a heating element, installed inside the chamber, for heating the crucible to melt the raw material; a thermally conductive connection part connected to the crucible; and a cooling unit which performs radiant heat extraction from the thermally conductive connection part and is movable to the thermally conductive connection part so that an amount of radiant heat extraction from the thermally conductive connection part is variable.
